Here all of the putty work and cleaning up the details has been completed and the main painting is well underway. I used flat white for most of Mir with the aft section adding a drop of Military Brown. The aft end of Kvant is rust, and the very end is foiled using aluminum foil. The foil was later painted over with a metallic paint.
